Ingredients you will need for 4 servings.

1 Ib. cooking apples 6 oz. self raising flour 1/2 pint water 3 oz.
shredded suet 2 1/2 lemon of Juice 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind 2
OZ. brown sugar pinch mixed spice

Peel and slice the apples and place with the water, lemon juice and sugar in a
saucepan. Bring to the boil. 2. Sieve the flour
and spice, add the suet and add lemon rind and mix to a stiff dough with water. 3.
Shape the dough into 14 small balls. 4. When the apple mixture is boiling and
the sugar has dissolved, drop in the dumplings. Cover with a lid and allow to
cook.
